Open Letter to Reborn Artists and Collectors

Recently, three artists were removed from Reborns.com for openly supporting the use of counterfeit reborn kits. One of these artists, with a significant social media following, has misrepresented Reborns.com’s stance on their platform. I would like to clarify Reborns.com's stance regarding the use and promotion of counterfeit reborn doll kits (otherwise known as knock-offs, fakes, recasts, replicas, or stolen kits) whether it is on our platform or elsewhere.

Maintaining the integrity of authentic reborn art while keeping it affordable is challenging. Counterfeit reborn kits, though affordable, represent stolen artistry and deprive original artists of deserved royalties. Reborns.com does not support the use or promotion of counterfeit kits sold on or off our website. By focusing on authenticity, we aim to ensure all artists receive the recognition and compensation they deserve.

That said, we have do not have (and never had) plans to remove any buyers for their past or future purchases, even if they choose to buy counterfeit dolls which are available in many places and artists on the internet. That is a personal choice and one we respect. However, we are limiting sellers on our platform to those who only choose to use authentic reborn doll kits in their artistry whether sold on Reborns.com or elsewhere.

Sincerely,

Dave Stack
Founder of Reborns.com
