Just this year, I have become quite intrigued and obsessed with reborn baby dolls and babies. I'm 52 and began painting in high school. It is a hobby that I have enjoyed off and on over the years and became more serious about in 2020. I also have had my own photography business since 2010.
I have just finished my first reborn art doll - an 8 inch micro preemie - a kit I bought from eBay. So technically, it is not a reborn kit and not a real born kit either. But the doll is hand painted and hand stuffed and weighted.
I thought buying a small kit would be easier. Eh, not so much lol
I have stripped the entire kit once and I have stripped the head about four times to get the hair the way I wanted it. I have spent hours working on this doll. I have spent money on poly fill, glass beads, paint and a couple new brushes.
I had a higher price listed, but have lowered the asking price. Just because my art doll is small, doesn't meant that I haven't put in a lot of work on trying to get it as good as possible.
I have added it to my nursery in hope of making my first sale on a reborn art baby doll. Art is subjective and I hope that the right person will value the work that I've done.
